Past Shows

Throughout the year we perform lots of small shows and take part in other events that we are invited along to, which helps us to teach our members to give back to the community. We aim to try and put on at least one large show a year, some groups do these at our own mini theatre while the advance class puts a show on at the Hazlitt theatre in Maidstone.

Below you can read a bit about some of the larger shows we have performed in the past.

The Best of Harmony - September 2004

This year has been very exciting for Harmony. We have won the very prestigious Queens Golden Jubilee award for after schools activities carried out by our volunteers. Three of us were received by Her Royal Highness at St. James's Palace, it was a most exciting evening, rubbing shoulders with six of the Royal Household and a couple of Cabinet ministers.

The 2004 show was called 'The best of Harmony'. It took into account everything we had performed in the previous years. This included odd bits from small shows performed away from the main theatre. It was a great success, with new young people playing parts that their older club members had played 5 years before. However in this show there was probably twice as many people on the stage that we had from our first performance.
